How to make a Web Banner ad, the quick answer would be “LEAVE IT TO US!”, but that would be quite unsatisfying, wouldn’t it? I think it’s about fair to tell you how we make them, so you know what kind of product you will get from us.
So, are you ready?
Good. Off we go!
You want to advertise on the Internet. You’ve probably seen a couple of web banners out there that dragged your eye. You’ve made some research and you’ve learned that web banners are a cost-effective way to promote your products. You have a marketing campaign going on and the only thing left, the cherry on the top of your delicious advertisement sundae, is a nice web campaign.
That’s when we come into action.
What we do
The process, albeit simple, takes some effort: these are the steps we follow:
1. As soon as we receive your form, we gather in a round table to discuss what possible graphic ideas we can get from the contents you provided us with.
2. After brainstorming, deliberation, negotiation and final agreements amongst the designers, we come up with some basic starting points we can take to develop a banner.
3. The message is divided into several frames so it fits the tempo of the animation (in case we’re having static banners, we diagram the text for the sake of visual impact)
4. Sometimes we will have to make several designs in order to fit the customer’s needs (space, time, frames, and file weight), these get done based on the starting points.
5. A few hours later, a banner is born. Designers congratulate each other in the back and everyone is happier, now that the project is done. Rinse. Repeat.
Sure, it doesn’t sound exciting but, trust me: being here gives me all the adrenaline I need for the week.
So, want to start making your own web banners?
We have nothing against creative expression but there is something safe to say: you need time to focus on your sales and your business. Sure, you can cut some corners but, come on… considering that web banners are inexpensive, effective and can be used to advertise massively… why would you like to cut corners, anyway?
We’ve been doing banners for a while now and, trust us, we know what we’re doing. It’s all about your marketing campaign, not occupational therapy.
